kp® ReClose ensures a strong hermetic seal and reclosability up to 20 times, even when there is sealing contamination created by packing greasy foods such as cheese, bacon or cooked ham. However, where there is a high degree of sealing contamination, the number of times it can be reclosed will be lower.
It’s ideal for packing foods such as diced bacon, sliced cheese, sliced processed meat (e.g. chorizo, cooked ham, prosciutto, salami, sausages) and snacks (e.g. nuts, dried fruits).
It is available between 250 and 1000 microns.
kp® ReClose and other multilayer PET rigid films such as PET/PE and PET/PE/EVOH/PE rigid films that are manufactured through thermal lamination, cannot currently be recycled in standard PET mechanical recycling facilities. They do not have the means to separate the PE and PE/EVOH/PE liners from the PET. The presence of PE and EVOH contaminates the PET recycling stream so these rigid multilayer films are not recyclable.
