kp Infinity® is single use fully recyclable plastic packaging. It’s not affected by the polystyrene single use food-to-go container ban in the UK!

kp Infinity® is made in the UK, is fully recyclable, has excellent insulation to keep food piping hot and is microwaveable.

In 2022, single use food-to-go containers made from polystyrene were banned in Scotland. People even got fines of up to £5000 for using them after the ban came into force. On 1 October 2023, a similar ban was introduced in England and Wales.

What’s this ban about?

Expanded and extruded polystyrene single use food containers and lots of other things like cotton buds and plastic cutlery have been banned. Why - because they can’t be recycled which means they harm the environment when they are not disposed of correctly.

Why is kp Infinity® different?

kp Infinity® Hotpacs® and the kp Infinity® Top Seal range are both made from extruded polypropylene (EPP)* and are fully recyclable. So even though they are single use food containers, they are not covered by the ban.

*Also known as expanded polypropylene

Why else should I buy kp Infinity®?

From 1 October 2023, no one should supply EPS trays in Scotland, England or Wales because of the ban.

  • We can guarantee supply of kp Infinity®. The Hotpacs® and the trays are manufactured in the UK, so they have a low transport carbon footprint
  • They are microwaveable and they are cool to touch after reheating. At the same time, they are great at keeping your food warm
  • They are incredibly versatile, stackable, lightweight and durable
  • And they look good

Where can I get kp Infinity® from?

We deal with all the key distributors in the UK so there is sure to be a supplier for kp Infinity® in your local area. If not, let us know and we will change that.
