Lower carbon footprint versus PS and PVC

Compared to PS and PVC, kp Hotfill® has a lower carbon footprint from cradle to grave where adequate recycling infrastructure is in place*.

Up to 23% thinner material

Better mechanical properties eliminating the need for EVOH and PE liners due to a better gas barrier which allows for up to 23% thinner films versus PS and PVC multilayer films.

Up to 29% longer rolls vs multilayer PS and PVC films

Can be downgauged by up to 23% compared to PS and PVC multilayer films, resulting in 29% longer rolls. Major benefits include increased line efficiency and reduced storage.

Drop-in solution

Works with all standard PS and PVC thermoforming equipment thanks to similar forming and processing conditions, eliminating the need to retrofit existing equipment and also requires a lower cutting force than standard PET.

Maximum food protection and safety

Complies with EFSA and FDA food contact regulations, which ensures
that food is kept fresh and safe.
